Biographical details: Her father, Rev. Septimus Cotes, was the Rector of Newington in Oxfordshore. She had a brother, Everard Charles Cotes who was an entomologist who worked at the Indian Museum in Calcutta. He later became a journalist after marrying the famous Canadian journalist, novelist and playwright Sara Jeannette Duncan. She died unmarried in Oxford on December 18, 1914. Effects £ 135 16s 1d.
